Blue Cube Self Storage

On December 29th we closed on the acquisition of Blue Cube Self Storage located in Bloomfield, CT for $2,500,000. Blue Cube is a 37,125 square foot self storage facility that was built in 2003/2004. The appraisal done for our lender, People’s Bank, valued the property on an “as is” basis for $3,000,000. The acquisition of Blue Cube combined with our current self storage portfolio which includes Simsbury and Waterbury Self Storage (owned by ECP I) totals 1,236 units. Our goal is to: 1) improve the performance of each facility; 2) possibly add another facility if it was priced right and; 3) sell the portfolio to a national buyer looking to establish a presence in the area.
